Bright, pale eau-de-rose color with hints of vine peach. The nose reveals intense aromas of wild berries such as raspberry and spring flowers. Notes of vanilla and toast delicately enrich the bouquet. The palate is greedy and fruity. It’s an airy wine, chiselled and full of finesse. The balance between freshness and generosity is the keyword.
80% Grenache, 20% Syrah.
North-facing vineyard on the foothills of Provence’s only volcano plot-by-plot selection of old vines (50 years old) clay-limestone-marl soil with basalt fragments cool, deep soils. 390 meters altitude.
Meticulously hand-picked grapes, some parcels were picked in two times. Manual sorting directly on the bunch and in the winery. Cold pressing and settling. Aged in stainless steel tanks, large format vats and 225l and 500l barrels of which new oak is used. Oak ageing is carefully controlled to integrate the complexity of the oak and respect the freshness of the terroir and the natural aromas of the grape varieties.
